The Training Institute for Prison and Probation Services (RSKK) is a nationwide unit of the Criminal Sanctions Agency. The institute was founded in 1976. The institute runs degree courses relating to prison and probation services and provides training to maintain, supplement and increase competence. The institute also has a scientific library specialising in criminology.

The Training Institute for Prison and Probation Services collaborates with other educational institutions and research organisations to provide the highest level of vocational education in prison and probation services and actively contributes to the development of the related labour market and to providing training and developing and evaluating programmes aimed at reducing recidivism.

The institute also acts as the Nordic competence hub in its field and participates systematically and actively in international cooperation relating to training in the field of prison and probation services.
